    13datacenter question

    Hey, all!

My husband and I filed BK13 in May. We had our 341 meeting a couple of weeks ago, and our confirmation date was moved from June 22 to July 9. Our monthly payment is $837.

I have been keeping an eye on 13datacenter to see what claims are being filed and for what amounts. My questions are about what is being reported there and whether or not I'm interpreting the information correctly. I'll use one of my secured debts (car loan) and unsecured debts (loan) as examples.

I have a secured car loan with Ally. Using the column titles, the Claim Amount is $12,000. The % of Claim to be Paid is 100%.

One of my unsecured debts is a loan in the amount of $6,200. The % of Claim to be Paid is listed as 0%. In fact, all but two of the unsecured claims have been filed by the creditors (there are 5 total), and each of those report 0% of the Claim to be Paid, so far.

    So, for my questions:

    1. Does this mean that the creditors of those unsecured claims have written off the debts and do not expect to receive payments via the BK plan? OR

    2. Will I not see those percentages updated until after Confirmation, after it is determined who will receive what and how much they will get?

    Thanks in advance!

If I'm not mistaken 13datacenter is utilized by the trustee and the information therein depends upon the input/accuracy done by the trustee. I know the first 6 months after confirmation my % to unsecured fluctuated. I would take what info is posted at face value. I use 13datacenter to see how the basics are being dealt with and if I see something unusual then I would do some checking. So far, I have had nothing come up. Pacer is probably better for more precise information on your 13 but there can be a cost. Personally, I have not signed up for Pacer but may do so right near the end.

BTW, welcome to the forum and good luck!
