    Final discharge audit report

I received the final audit report from my trustee yesterday. In the report it had the following: Amount discharged without payment $XXXX. Does anyone know what this is? Is it for claims that weren't filed?

    Thanks in advance!!

That looks like the amount that did not go to your unsecured creditors. I believe that in a Ch13, they have to file a claim in order to receive anything.

We were an Asset 7--which I consider to be something akin to a razeed 13. If any of our creditors wanted a piece of the action, they had to file a claim. The only two that did was the IRS (no surprise there) and a medical provider that attempted to prioritize their claim above that of the IRS.

American General, who tried to trick us into signing reaffirmation papers at our 341, did not.

I've never seen a final audit report. But, it is probably either the difference between claims filed for dischargeable debt and the amount paid on those claims, as AC says. Or, because you get a discharge even if the creditors don't file claims, it may be the difference between the debt listed on your petition and the amount paid. Perhaps you can tell which of the two by comparing the report to your petition and the acutal claims filed.

There was one in our file on PACER, but we did not get a paper copy in the mail, which is what it sounds like jherron got.
