I have a "what if" questions. I filed my chapter 13 with a lawyer but cant afford to go back to him if I should get a notice of dismissal due to falling behind on my payments with trustee or mortgage. Do I need a lawyer can I call either on my own and work something out. What if I cant afford a lawyer to do the paperwork. Thanks for any suggestions

I understand this is a 'what if' scenario. Is this really a 'real life' scenario?
Please let us know, so that we can better advise you. It does no good for us to try and second-guess what you mean, and research it, only to find that what you asked is NOT the way we interpreted the question.
Thank you.Last edited by AngelinaCat; 04-29-2013, 05:36 PM."To go bravely forward is to invite a miracle."

I agree with Cat in that you will be better served by sharing your situation regardless of how awful you may feel about it. It is hard but you must take the emotion out of the equation and look for ways to make your 13 successful. Trust me, you're not the only one who has been in a 13 and found himself cornered again.
Bring it!!11/23/'10-filed ch 13. 1/6/'11-341, confirmed. Below median. Plan completed 11/30/2015. DISSCHARGED 4/4/2016.JP

Filed Chap 13 April 2010. Discharged May 2015.
$143,000 in debt discharged for $36,500, including attorneys fees. Money well spent!
