Question for a Credit Report Guru

Recently Citi sent us a letter that they had, possibly, a bit of a breach in the security of personal info relating to a loan in a bankruptcy proceeding. "As a precaution, we have arranged for you, at your option, to enroll in a credit monitoring service at no cost to you for one year." Sweeeeet! It is thru ITAC Sentinel so now I have access to reports and scores (676, 675, 656 currently) from the big three for the next year. The timing is ideal as we are about to complete the 13 in November so that now we can monitor before and after completion.

To the question. TransUnion (lowest score btw) had a bit of a snafu with SS numbers and comingled mine and the DW. After having that fixed they sent me my credit report and I found one piece of info that may or may not be an issue. It involves a credit card with BoA. This particular account shows a balance, whereas, other BoA accounts (4 in total) show $0. Under remarks it has ACCOUNT CLOSED BY CONSUMER, under that ESTIMATED MONTH AND YEAR THAT THIS ITEM WILL BE REMOVED: 06/2014. Now all other accounts have remarks of either, INCLUDED IN BANKRUPTCY, CHAPTER 13 BANKRUPTCY, or CLOSED, which all show $0 balances. I am unable to verify the account as part of my 13 as BoA did not file a claim even tho one of the accounts was listed. Perhaps a jdb picked it up, as I have several of those included but still can't verify as the amount owed on the account does not match anything. Not even the one that was listed when filed with the court. Which, when I think about it, doesn't mean anything either with added fees and penalties to what's claimed and what's actually owed.

    Not overly concerned just curious.

I don't think it means anything. I have accounts which read from "Included In bankruptcy", to "Wage Earner Plan", to "PAID/Closed at Creditors Request". So long as they are $0 balance and show no payment history (of late payments)... I don't care!
    Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)

Agree and I have those notations on some of the accounts. However, this is the only one that is showing a balance with the last update being 3/24/2008 and showing a past due amount of $200. A bit of a head scratcher but way past SOL in this state. Just curious as to why all other accounts are $0 balance but this one.

If it has a balance, then you need to dispute it.

Not trying to beat a dead horse but with whom do I dispute it, TransUnion? TransUnion is the only one showing any info. The other two are showing zip, like in no information of any kind. Have several from BoA that are showing up in TransUnion but none of the others.

Yes, you dispute it with TransUnion.
