    Step Plan

I have a question about step plans. I have made 6 payments of spec amt . In a few weeks I get confirmed. I havent seen anything in the paperwork, actually i havent seen much, and i am wondering if at confirmation if a step plan can be issued. This will be my kids last year of official childcare even though I plan on having some costs, I dont think it will be considered a valid expense because of her age. I guess my ? Is this, shouldn't I know by now if I am going into a step program? Thanks so much! Hopefully no step, its darn tight, but if so, I can see the logic!
Discharge date: October 2017 (will it ever get here?)

I'm in step plan, but if I remember correctly all of that was decided on way before my confirmation. I had a 401k loan that was paid off and my payments went up after the 36th month but I knew this going in.
    CH13 - filed 30 JUL 09, $1521 @ 60 mos (100% payback)
    Done!!! - 01 Jul 2014 I'm free!! Discharged 9/23/14!

We were confirmed with a step plan. Went into our 341 meeting with a straight payment, but were asked about my husbands child support ending during our plan.
He's got two sons and one was going to turn 18 and graduate 15 months into our plan, and the second 27 months into our plan.

The trustee made us revise our plan to show us paying $200/mo for the first 15 month, then $525/mo for 12 months and finally $850/mo for the last 9 months of our plan. This was to reflect the additional disposable income we'd have when child support payments ended.

I guess to answer your question....it all depends on what the trustee decides to look at. If you are lucky, they won't ask about it, and when your childcare ends, you'll have that much more money to keep (and save up).
