    Tax refund by direct deposit

Since filing Ch 13 we have been e-filing and getting a paper check. We are allowed to keep our refunds.
I'd rather have direct deposit than a paper check. Our handbook said we wouldn't qualify for an electronic refund. I'm assuming they meant Rapid Refund, but we have done paper check to be safe. Anyone get their refund by direct deposit? Is it held up?

No. I got mine by direct deposit all through chapter 13.
    Filed Chapter 13 - 7/10/07 - 5 year plan with 2 cars and 10% unsecured payback,
    Last Payment 7/12, DISCHARGED 11/26/12 CLOSED 12/18/12

I haven't run up against any limitations to e-filing and direct deposit of Federal or state taxes during Chapter 13. I can't pay my personal property (car) tax directly - have to send it to the County Attorney's office throughout the Chapter 13 ( apparently in the County's eyes, I must be a low life)

The first year I didn't do direct deposit because I also saw a notice like that, but in the past 4 years we've done direct deposit with no problem, just not rapid refund (which is a loan secured against your refund, and a scam anyhow).

Plan Modified July 8, 2009 from $1100/month to $400/month due to change in income, finally discharged in July of 2013!

Our trustee here in Indiana, requires us to only receive paper checks on our tax returns. We can e-file thru our tax preparer, but are not allowed direct deposit.

we've always done e-filing and DD on refunds - no issue since being in Ch. 13 either.

In a Ch13 and get to keep my refund. Always did DD before BK but since I have been doing paper check. Honestly don't see a reason that you couldn't do DD but at this point I like getting the check and depositing it directly into savings, this way it never hits my checking account where it is more likely to get spent frivolously. Unfortunately it never makes it through the year in savings but... it is there when I need it. This is one of the things that has helped me get this far through my CH13 with a family and all the random expenses that come up.

                  * - I am not sure, it may be possible to have it DD into a savings account (as opposed to checking) but I never bothered to find out what the routing information would be...

If you can't keep yours are you prohibited from changing your withholding? If you can then its a non-issue, just get your refund back through the year in your paycheck.
