Just got notice from TT, allowed to make ACH payments!

Soooooo excited! After having a money order stolen out of the mail and fraudulently cashed, I have been cursing the inability to make electronic payments. Now we can! Woot!
    Filed Chapter 13 on 2-28-10. 341 completed 4/14/10. Confirmed 5/14/10. Lien strip granted 2/2/11
0% payback to unsecured creditors, 56 payments down, 4 to go....

Lucky you! I would be thrilled to be able to do that. I have been lucky in the 2 1/2 years I have been mailing my payments. Not one has been lost. Only 5 more to go and I will never have to worry about that ever again.

I think it is crazy that most trustees did not already offer it. I have always had the option of: Payroll deduction, ACH, personal check, money order, or cashiers check.
I use my banks bill payer (personal check), I find that to be the best method. It automatically pays each month, I have control over the payment, no charge, and if it gets lost in the mail you can get a statement from a national bank that says it was mailed.

I do not understand why some trustees want guarenteed funds. They obviously know who you are and where to find you, and if your checks do not clear they just dismiss your case for non-payment. At the most they would be out the $10 or whatever the bank would charge them for the returned item. I can not imagine many people are going to be sending in bad checks for their CH13 payment!
