We are 2 years into our chapter 13 plan. The kids have moved out and we no longer need this big house and unable to keep up with the maintenance of it either. After taking early retirement last year with a monthly pension and working another job that does not pay as much as I am use to I feel we can no longer afford it either. Will they let us sell it? I have read about surrending a home in chapter 13 and foreclosure options but those procdures scare me if I have the option to sell the home before it gets to that point. Not underwater, so I should be able to sell it to pay off the 1st and 2n mortgage and a realtor. Not sure of my options. Any ideas?
