    Pre Planning

I just wanted to share my experience.

I can not emphasize enough the importance of pre-planning. We purchased 2 newer vehicles prior to filing. In addition, we sold some assets, to use for downpayments as well as just pay bills each month. I made sure I documented where every penny went in case it was questioned.

06/28, we finally filed. 0% to unsecured creditors. 341 hearing was 08/21, and 09/06 plan was confirmed. Trustee didn't question anything about our plan. I feel it's a liveable plan and the countdown begins.

The biggest frustration I had with this whole process is the different advice we were given with the 5 consultations we had. Some said we couldn't sell anything. Others said it was fine to do so, just document where the money went. I know we can make the 5 years, and am looking forward to the light at the end of the tunnel.

Wise words spoken there salsa! It would behoove people to listen and heed this advice.

There is absolutely NOTHING about a bankruptcy that is an emergency, however I see it used time and time again as an emergency financial planning tool, with the bankruptcy being doomed to fail from the start.

We did not get in dire financial straits overnight, and no one is going to ever get out overnight either.

Preplanning = Prepare - Study - Learn - Make a Plan - Execute that plan.

There are worlds of wisdom here to help with the journey.........

Bankruptcy is a process, not an event.......

Frogger has managed to not get eaten by an owl. So, he must be even wiser than an owl.
