    Confused about dates and payments?

    Hi All,

After reading other posts, I realized I too have some questions about dates and payments:

    1. In Western PA, when does a 60 month plan start counting-from the file date, confirmation date, or date of first payment?

    2. Do I keep making payments from the end of the plan till discharge?

    3. YTD paid into plan: $61.239- base plan $112,348. Will the total amount paid to the trustee have to be $112,348? What if at the end of the plan we haven't reached that
amount? Will we owe a lump sum?

Thanks so much for your help- this place is my comfort place!

In PA it starts from the file date, your 1st payment would have been due within 30 days. You are only going to make 60 payments. How many months have you paid? Based on your amounts it looks like 32.

Have you made all of your payments or did your payment amount change? Does your confirmation order day anything about an increase or lump sum? What about tax refunds, did you have to submit them? I am not in Western PA and my confirmation order says very little so not sure if Western PA has more info.

The plan base is most often the total of all of your plan payments - at least, it starts out that way. If there are no modifications, the plan base will stay the same. Your plan duration starts with the first payment, except in a couple of states, where the plan duration starts at confirmation.
