New lender for my 1st mortgage

Well in June my 1st mortgage was bought by a company, Received my taxes in mail, the new lender will not talk to me, until they talk to my attorney wth. Just need the address for my escrow. So I email my attorney and tell him this so in waiting. I also told my attorney that i have no intention of reaffirming just in case. Was this wrong? The reason for this is you never know when something is gonna go wrong such as life. I guess I am definetly a second class citizen now! Is it 5 years yet?
Then their the confirming game oh.

Not sure how to handle the situation, but one point worth making: reaffirmation is not a part of ch. 13. Its only for ch. 7. At the end of your plan - if you keep the house as part of your plan - you'll be 'on the hook' as the saying goes for your mortgage. Ch. 13 does not discharge secured debt.

Oh great thanks for that information. Didn't know that, my mortgage never been late, guess i am gonna make a copy of my taxes before i send them, only have a payment address, and hope for the best. Any idea why their not sending my bill on time? I called them the first time in which they did talk to me, but now they won't.

I don't know if this is anything like your situatation, but my original mortgage was sold last year to another servicer, too. Everything is O.K. I guess and I've been paying the required amount each month, but I've yet to get a "normal" bill from them. My statements always have the amount due as -0- and all I think is, Yeah, I wish!

have you tried googling the company for their info? There are many sites that provide (free of charge) company directories / addresses / emails / etc...

One I use quite a bit is jigsaw as well as linked-in. While you must register for Jigsaw, it is free of charge and provides quite a bit of information.

Well I'm thinking I am gonna certify letter my taxes with return signature, just want to make sure it gets paid. Lucky thing I have a different kind of setup with my mortgage payment. Still did not receive bill for July. I usually always got the bill, but knew it was paid already. Just wondering why their giving me a hard time, it was never late or anything. I have the payment address, I will google maybe there a escrow address. Thanks
