Filed CH13 have 341 next month but freaking out!

Hello! I'm new to this board and was wondering if my friend is right! My 341 meeting is next week and I took some things to pawn shop for my mom so she can have extra money b4 her vacation! My friend says oh that's bad! I didn't even think! It's not for me but they have my info! Should I be freaking out? Will the trustee know and ask me about it? Thank you for any info and hopefully setting my mind at ease!

How much did you get for the items you pawned?

Is it too late to get them back?

$301 and yes it's too late! I filed last month so I'm thinking I'll be okay since it's after filing and not before.

I wouldn't sweat a small amount like that. Now $3,000 might raise an eyebrow or two. Don't raise any red flags my friend.

I sold a utility trailer for $500 just after filing to help pay our property taxes and nothing was said. Of course I didn't volunteer any info either. Its called staying under the radar. A little common sense can go a long way.
Filed July 2009. Discharged 08/08/2014. Awaiting closing. We made it !!!! Woo-hoo!

Paying property taxes is a lot different from raising a few dollars for a vacation, too.

Now. CH13s are different from Ch7s, but once you file, everything you own becomes the property of the BK Estate. There probably will be no harm coming from this. Lord knows, 'Hub and I made numerous stupid mistakes during our Ch7 out of sheer ignorance. If you filed with the help of an attorney, you might want to run this past him/her.

krisinbe, did you take your mother's property to the pawn shop and give the money to your mother? Or was it your property that you sold? If it was her property, I don't think it is a problem, but could raise questions if the transaction was in your name and the trustee finds out about it. Either way, tell your attorney about the transaction so there are no surprises.
