Not likely. They will probably send you a threatening letter trying to get you to reach a settlement with them to keep them from repo'ing the computers. But, don't let them scare you. The laptops aren't worth the trouble to send someone to your house to get them. Many BKforum members had Dell accounts discharged and nobody has ever reported that Dell repossessed their computers.

Thanks for your valuable information. It was mentioned that the petetion would set out a plan to file including payments. Would the payments be accurate on plan from attorney or will it be subject to chanke from TT?

I really appreciate your advice, I went to sign the petetion today and oh it was so off limits. Example: I documented all creditors in my paperwork to attorney as you mentioned due to the fact that some were bought by 2nd party 3rd party ect... well when i saw that the petetion reported I owed $92,000 I was in awe. as I do at most in 100% payoff owe $32,000. After I showed him all of the duplicate account numbers he said he would have his staff redo the petetion and I could come back in a couple of days to review and sign. The account numbers were the same on file I still wonder how it was not observed.

Hi hwilli: You have to be on top of things and do your own research and 'due diligence' when reporting things to your attorney. You MUST sit there in their office and go over each and every little detail, no matter how stupid or nit-picky it might seem.

While it seems to you that you gave over every thing that the attorney needs to plug your information into his/her online software so he can upload and file it to the courts, he/she has about 100 more of you (clients) waiting needing the same services--many that same day. So they get flustered and overwhelmed.

And this is high praise and kudos to the attorney community from a couple that had less than satisfactory service from our own attorney. But it happens.

So keep on top of the situation. Keep reading the Stickies here on this forum, and keep asking questions. The membership will do its best to help you.

Yes, it happens. That's exactly why everyone should review their petition carefully before signing it. We each know our financial situation better than anyone else, no matter how much documentation we give them.

I'm glad you took the time to review the petition, hwilli, instead of just signing where you are told to like so many do.

I do understand that they are over booked , and in no way upset with attorney or his staff. I was just hoping to get the petition filed asap. Well he did give me a quick next appointment so hopefully it will be tomorrow, thanks for your advise and support.

You could call your attorney's office and ask. Or, you can sign up for a PACER account. For info on PACER read: http://www.bkforum.com/showthread.ph...Guide-amp-Tips

Thanks, I found on Pacer today that my petetion was filed yesterday 5/7/12. It states file # - Judge name - and Asset - yes? What does this mean and or what will be the next step in the process?

I now have a 341 meeting set for the end of June. When will the first payment be due to the trustee?

I don't know if it differs by state but here in Michigan you have to make your first payment within 30 days of filing. For you that means sometime before the 7th of June if I read your post correctly. In our case, the attorney set up automatic payments to be taken from our account. He gave us about four different options regarding the day of the month we wanted to have it withdrawn and then he set it up.
Best wishes and congrats on your first step!

Thanks, you are correct, called Attorney and they said 30 days from filing, after the initial first payment they will set up a date in order to deduct the future payments so that i will not have to mail payments into Trustee monthly. Appreciate your response.
