I have a car payment that will expire a year from now, meaning I will have $250 additional dollars in my pocket. Do I have to report this to the trustee?

Ask your lawyer. He/she knows what the practice is when asset payments end in your local court and how your trustee treats the situation.
Some trustees will petition the court to increase your payment by adding on what you were paying on the car payment. Other trustees could care less. Your lawyer is the most reliable source of information about what you need to do or not do when your car payment ends.I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
