We are done paying off our plan but house was behind so they say we have to pay till settled. Well 2 weeks ago my husband had a accident and the car is totaled. We was made a offer but insurance company had to speak to trustee. So she called and left message. I called trustee and they said they haven't got any calls. So I call ins. co. back with her ext. Okay so that got done. Then ins. co. needed to speak with Lein holder. So she called and then called us back b/c husband had to call and give permission to talk to them. He did that and she called them back. Well she said they are to submitt info she needed in 24 to 72 hrs. Okay so yesterday 72 hrs still nothing. So I call the lady she talked to and she said she doesn't handle these cases and transfered to someone else. So called yesterday and finally got her today and she said she has to get info from trustee first. We are like WHAT!!!! I called trustee and she said that system is down but that isn't normal for them to have to do. I am so frustrated with all this!!! Has anyone had this happen?

I totaled a car in my plan and I had to go to court to get permission from the Trustee to keep the money from the wreck to purchase a new car. The court granted the motion. I had to mail the check back to the adjustor, they in turn mailed the check to the trustee to disperse to me and the lien holder it took over 60 days to get my money from the court. So with your case not being closed long waiting times is not uncommon. -
Well beings that my plan is completely paid the trustee office has told the insurance company to send it to us. But it is the Lien holder that is won't send the insurance company the info they need about them getting the title so they can send us a check. I did contact the trustee office today and she said she would try to call them to see what it is they need from them. The car was paid off about a year ago and Chapter 13 payments are complete as of last month.Comment
