Where do plan payments go upon dismissal or conversion to 7?

If a chap 13 case gets dismissed, amended (to a lower payout) or converted to a chap 7 during the 3-year term, can anyone tell me what happens to the plan payments that have been made up to that point?

All plan payments that you make up to the point your amended plan is approved by the court or your plan is converted to Ch 7 stay with your trustee and are distributed by your trustee to your creditors. If you are wondering if you get the money you've already paid in back after plan amendment or conversion, no, you do not. (Sorry.)
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

    06/01/06 - Filed Ch 13
    06/28/06 - 341 Meeting
    07/18/06 - Confirmation Hearing - not confirmed, 3 objections
10/05/06 - Hearing to resolve 2 trustee objections
01/24/07 - Judge dismisses mortgage company objection
    09/27/07 - Confirmed at last!
06/10/11 - Trustee confirms all payments made
    08/10/11 - DISCHARGED !

    10/02/11 - CASE CLOSED
Countdown: 60 months paid, 0 months to go

Thanks, I was really just wondering if they gave you credit for it, more or less if you ended up in a 7. Or do they go back and start from scratch? For instance, could it be applied towards things that HAVE to be paid. Like attorneys fees and taxes.
