Can anyone suggest a good attorney in Illinois? I dont event know were to begin?

Try searching the forum for a thread call "how did you find your attorney". (I think that was the title.) You may find it helpful. I thought it was a sticky, but I don't see it now.LadyInTheRed is in the black!

You may also wish to call the clerk of the BK Court in your District and ask for a list of attorneys. Even though they may not be able to 'recommend' one, the odds are that you will get a list of decent, honorable professionals. The reason is that the people in the clerk's office deal with these attorneys every day, and they know which ones are prepared, on time, courteous and professional, as well as the ones that are late, present slip-shod paperwork to be filed, and are just plain rude and arrogant to deal with.
