    Still waiting for discharge

Hi, Congrats to the recent discharge's I've seen lately! I think it's awful how long we have to wait after 5 long years for the discharge. Made my last payments in July and stilll waiting..... it's painful just wanting the final word!

Shellbell is right. It's time to contact your lawyer and find out what's going on.

Have you checked PACER? How about your trustee's website (13Network or 13DataCenter)? Do you see anything related to the status of your case there?

One more question....did you stop making payments in July because you thought you were done or were you officially notified by the trustee's office in the mail that all your plan payments were received and no further payments were necessary?
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

      06/01/06 - Filed Ch 13
      06/28/06 - 341 Meeting
      07/18/06 - Confirmation Hearing - not confirmed, 3 objections
10/05/06 - Hearing to resolve 2 trustee objections
01/24/07 - Judge dismisses mortgage company objection
      09/27/07 - Confirmed at last!
06/10/11 - Trustee confirms all payments made
      08/10/11 - DISCHARGED !

      10/02/11 - CASE CLOSED
Countdown: 60 months paid, 0 months to go

Well unfortunately lawyer went out of business during my bk. But anyway, 13data center has it has closed/completed. Called Trustee office they say it takes 3-6 months to receive the discharge. So I guess I just wait and wait! Haven't recevied anything from Trustee or anyone else.
