Divorce during Chapter 13

My wife and I have filed for divorce. The BK attorney has filed a motion to modify the plan and we are waiting our 25 days in hopes that we don't have any objections. We are surrendering the house and a vehicle.

Question is...do we have to wait until the Motion to Modify is signed by the judge before the divorce decree can be finalized? Or can it be finalized while we are waiting on the judge to approve the modification?

I'm not an expert, but since the legal reason for the modification is you getting divorced, I suspect the bankruptcy judge will want to see the divorce finaized first.
