    Tax status in chap 13

Hi..i'm filing in a few weeks...i'm assuming a chap 13, but had a ? For the past 4 months, i had my tax status changed to 9 to be able to get as much money as possible to get by on...so of course now i'm changed back to zero...how do they look at that on figuring my gross income avg for 6 mths? I mean, i don't normally make that much so i didn't know how this would affect things..the attny told me some adjustments could be made to consider special circumstances...any thoughts on this?
    Thanks

The best thing to do would be to claim the correct number of exemptions. Some people claim no exemptions to maximize their tax withholding amount so that they can get a large refund. Others claim more than they are entitled to in order to end up paying taxes. Neither of these strategies is ideal in terms of bankruptcy planning.
The wise thing to do is to plan on spending less. A lot less.

I can share my experience re my spouse's 13 for this - we've ALWAYS owed, so atty told me/us to have withholding set at a more reasonable rate. Which we did. Since we always owed including 2010, this wasn't an issue.
