If the unsecured creditors (credit cards) don't show at the hearing are are not part of the repayment plan, why do they get paid if there's extra money in your plan at the end of the plan?
Thanks!

341 with confirmation recommendation Jan 7/09 100% payback to secured and 10% to unsecured.Plan completed and discharge 02/20/13
Creditors rarely show up at the 341 meeting. All that matters is that they file a claim. If they file, they'll get paid. If they do not file a claim by the bar date, they will not.
Filed Chapter 13 on 2-28-10. 341 completed 4/14/10. Confirmed 5/14/10. Lien strip granted 2/2/11
0% payback to unsecured creditors, 56 payments down, 4 to go....

I can't find anywhere in my paperwork that any of the 3 credit card companies filed any claim.

It wouldn't be in your paperwork. It would be under the CLAIMS (link) in PACER or on the Trustee's website (either 13DataCenter or 13Network).
For some reason I can't register to the 13data center. I emailed them and they are trying to be able to get me logged in. as soon as I can, I'll check. thanks!

Exactly. And why should an unsecured creditor show up at the 341? You don't want to see them, the trustee doesn't want to see them either. They will either submit a proof of claim or they won't. It doesn't matter to you or the trustee if the do either.

The reason unsecured creditors never show up at 341 meetings is because there is no point. They can gain no advantage by being there, and it costs money to fly people all over map and put them up in hotels. If there is going to be an adversarial procedure against a debtor, the creditor will go right to the trustee before or after the 341 meeting. Then, it is up to the unsecured creditor to prove their case - which is very difficult; and that is why it happens very rarely.
