We received a letter from our trustee yesterday (June 10, 2011) that his audit of our plan is completed and confirms all 60 of our plan payments have been received. At last after five l-o-n-g years, it's surreal to finally say out loud, "WE ARE DONE MAKING MONTHLY CH 13 PAYMENTS AND WE DON'T HAVE TO MAKE ANY MORE!!"
The trustee's letter also said that we had to file a Motion for Discharge Due to Plan Completion, so we spoke to our lawyer yesterday and he's going to put that together next week. We'll sign the motion, he'll file it with our local bk court, and then our creditors will all be notified they have 21 days to object to our discharge.
The trustee's office and our lawyer both told us that creditor objections rarely happen at this point, but we're prepared in case it does happen. If no creditor objects, once the 21 days are over we'll receive our discharge letter from the court and we'll officially be done.
No dancing chipmunks yet, Angelina Cat and Hub, but it's really close! Please get 'em warmed up and ready to go!
