    Sprint cell phone and cancellation

I have been a chapter 13 for 2 years now and had my sprint account for about 11 years., Unfortunately I had to cancell my service as when I moved the service did not work in the new area., I called sprint., tried to resolve it and was told too bad, basically., that what they said., In the interim my mom added me to her plan. My question is I cannont pay sprint the early termination fee so they said they will report me to the credit bureau., there is nothing else I can do Ihave always paid them on time., etc., now that I am in 13 I am limited and cannot pay this termination fee., I told them I would pay them $10.00 a month.

Sorry to hear about you problem with Sprint, whirlwind123. The only thing I could suggest is to figure out how many more months you're under contract with Sprint. If it's going to be cheaper to pay them the monthly phone bill for the remaining months compared to paying the early termination fee, then keep paying. Otherwise you're stuck.

We were in a similar situation with Sprint when we filed bankruptcy. We included them in our filing as a lease/contract we were breaking, and then did not have to pay an early termination fee.

Hope it works out for you!

I really didnt want any issues with late payments and the credit report and I am trying to build it back up but, no choice in this matter.

IF you have the time, whirlwind123, after 11 years, call them and ask to speak to "executive" customer service -tell them that after 11 years, they really OUGHT to do something for you...keep at it and keep at it, and WRITE BY MAIL - certified, etc. to the CEO and you may just get something from them. They don't need any customers complaining...
