just had my 341 meeting, no sweat!

Just had my 341 meeting and it was a lot easier then I ever thought.

I showed up in a t-shirt and blue jeans and found everyone else was wearing polo/button up shirts, slacks and dress shoes, man was I sweating it. I had thought about dressing similar but I decided against it and my attorney agreed with me. He said the other people look like they had money and my appearance fit the "look" for someone filing chapter 13. Jaja.

The only questions asked were my name, occupation and wages. Same for my wife. Then he asked me to explain why my payment would gradually increase and top off, which I did and that was it. He then said thank you and good luck! So now I'm off to the next step, confirmation!

My attorney said the confirmation would be within a week and I would not need to be present since the trustee did not object and it would be done electronically, both of which I haven't read about on the forums.

The procedures vary according to local court rules. Some courts actually have a confirmation hearing that the attorney attends, but the debtor usually doesn't have to. Other courts, like yours and mine, don't require a hearing if nobody files an objection to the confirmation.

COngratulations!!! That was quick!!! OUr confirmation hearing (fingers crossed) was auto-created to be about a month after the 341...the day the case was filed....
