I understand what you are saying though..I have done the figures myself and there just does not seem to be any money there....how do you go about filing chapter 7 by yourself if you are married?

Kim, you CAN file by yourself when married...if you are seeing a lawyer he/she will explain - else, the wise folks here will chime in also!

My husband also has another secure loan in his name that we do not pay so we did not want to put that in our bankruptcy, we do not have a mortgage and we do not want to loose any of our stuff we want to pay for it.
So my question is filing under chapter 13 do we have to worry about loosing are vechicels and can we not put the other secure loan in the bankruptcy and what kind of payment would this much debt inquirer?

U need to try and sell a car and get a cheaper car. Learn to get on a budget and stop living beyond your income. Bankruptcy isn't a bailout it just allows you a way to get your head above water so that you can deal with your debts. It's a lifestyle change after you file you won't be able to get credit without trustees permission. You also have to do a budget plan before your plan will be confirmed. I learned to pay cash and not to try to keep up with jones. I have 6 months left in my 13 and I promise you I learned a valuable lesson and won't go into debt in the future unless I have to.

If I read it right, OP has loans on the vehicles - selling a car is FAR FAR easier said than done.
