Congrats and you are! But you need to know what comes next and be on top of it otherwise you may get lost in the shuffle or miss time important documents.
I cant post a link yet but if you look for the thread "am I done?" there is a detailed breakdown of what happens next, post 2 in the thread.
Good Luck!
Congrats on a successful Chapter 13! What will happen now is you will or should receive a letter from the trustee advising you of what will happen over the next several months. Remaining funds held by the Trustee in your Plan will be distributed to the creditors as appropriate and the creditors will have to sign a document and submit it back to the Trustee that they are paid in full according to the Plan. When all those are received and the stars and planets align, the trustee will then audit your plan and present you with your discharge. Timeline - we paid off our Plan early (could do it under old law) in 4/06. Letter from Trustee came early June 2006. Discharge obtained end of August 2006. Closed 2/07. Expect at least 3 months between your last payment and your discharge.
Again, congrats and best of luck to you!
