My plan was confirmed! I have visited the forums in the past and just wanted to update my situation. I filed Chapter 13 on December 1 because of excessive medical bills (preemie baby 3 years ago), huge student loan payments, personal loan debt and credit card debts (less than 10k). I found my lawyer on this forum (Thanks @MSbklawyer!). I was able to keep my 2010 Toyota Camry, which was a concern since I did not have resources to buy another car and my husband's truck does not have a backseat for our two kids. I am caught up on my house payments now (3 months of arrears put in the plan). Before filing my monthly debt payments (not including my house payment) were $2500-$3000 and now my plan payment is just $1000 so it has been quite a relief to be able to make a much more manageable debt payment. I still try to budget, use coupons, shop sales/clearance, etc. so that I can make sure we stay above water and hopefully establish a savings account at some point. My husband's income is mostly commission so it fluntuates widely every month so we have to prepared for "bad" months. I am a teacher so my income is stable, which helps of course.
Anyway, I just wanted to update my case. I hope that others will be able to find the same relief that I have found.
