Need a vehicle & loan with 13 mos. left in Ch. 13 in TX - should I wait or not?

The vehicle that I am currently driving is 11 years old, worth about $3,500, and needs at least $4,000 in repairs (A/C, defrost, emission problems, body damage). Looks like roadloans will only do an 18% interest rate if I take the loan today.

Is anyone aware of any vehicle financing company that lends money to people in current bankruptcy with lower rates in Texas?

Am I better off waiting these 13 months to get dismissed, then try for a loan? Is it possible I will get a better APR once it has been dismissed?

Thanks for any and all help.

People have financed a car loan during an active Chapter 13, but please know that you need your trustees approval to do so. Ask your lawyer about the process in your district. (By dismissed I think you mean discharged.)

Sorry Newbie, but that is not the answer to my question. I already know all of that information that you posted. I am on to the next step, which is finding financing, which is why I asked the questions above.
