    So confused!!!

Ok the more I go to my atty's office, the more utterly confused I become! Now that DH & I are separated, we are looking to see what our options are and basically here is where I THINK we are headed...by now filing and splitting the case, DH can go CH7 and walk away. Ok. so then his income comes out of my plan (the fact that he will then pay me child support will come back into play) but then I can either TRY to see if I can qualify for a 7 and walk away from the house OR stay a 13, try to keep the house & maybe amend & lower my payment.
I have no idea which way to go, I feel very stressed and pushed to make a decision when I don't have all the facts! I want to know CAN I qualify for the 7 to walk away, to me I need to see that in front of me in black & white, then i know for sure & then I can make an informed decision. Does that make sense? i feel like it's backwards, I am being asked to make a decision when I don't know? Why the heck would I walk away from the house that I'm paying $1400 a month for, go rent a place for 900 and then turn around & have to pay the extra right back to the trustee if I am stuck in a 13.
Any thoughts? I am so ready to be done with this! I Cannot believe I am going through this now!

I don't understand why your attorney can't run the numbers for you to see if you would qualify for a 7 over a 13 considering the changes without DH's income. He/she should be able to do this with you. I see your point however of renting and still paying out the same monthly.

I wish you the best Julsmom, I know things have been tough for you lately.
