help what are my options

Hello all, i am in need of some serious help...i have been a lurker for a while but now i need some advice

a lil back story. I live in illinois i filed ch 7 -3-02
i bought a condo 10-06...shitty deal caught up in the subprime drama....adj mortgage etc. , developer abandoned the property...we have 13 vacant units in forclosure, and of the 18 owned units 10 have vacated their property

09-08 things started to become unbearable and i at the time didnt want to lose my house didnt want the stigma of forclosure etc, and i couldnt file a ch 7. So i filed a chapter 13. 10% payment 3 yr plan,. Auto stay was lifted 05-09

now i am at the point where i don't care about stigma and the ch13 will be over 09-11 but mortgage payment shot up to $1600 and i am tired of the house and i want to surrender as well as some old irs debt. So i want to convert to ch 7...is that possible..my lawyer is a complete jerkoff, wont return my calls, nasty on the phone when i do talk to them.

I am trying to figure out what options are....can someone who has gone thru this give some advice..thank you in advance

You have 2 options: Convert to a Chapter 7 (if you are eligible) or stay in the Chapter 13 but amend your plan to surrender your condo. Call your attorneys office and make an appointment to see him face to face. If you can't get an appointment you'll have to fire him and hire another, or do it yourself.
