Finallly filing today!!!
Well after making my attorney go back to the drawing board more than a few times, we are ready to file today! And good thing too, I received two letters Friday that indicated a lawsuit had been filed against DH for the attorney's for Citibank. (We won't have to answer these since were filing today right?)
The original payment presented to us at the consultation was $1525 which was great so we proceeded to retain our attorney. The ransom decision happened and he came back and said the payment would be about $2500. I found alot of errors so he came back with a payment of $2025.
Still too rich for my blood so I asked him if he could use Lanning for the overtime my husband got last year. Plus thanks to you folks I found a bunch more expenses to include that I hadn't even thought about! He says he's never used the lanning argument and this would be his first attempt. We are now at $1500 for 60 months paying back 74% of unsecured creditors.
Hopefully the trustee will accept our plan as-is and we can get confirmed. I think I have been the most involved client he has had, and it's thanks to all the information I've found here. I am officially addicted to BKForum!!!
