Whether your Trustee wants tax returns is based on your district. You should look at your confirmation order for the directions from your Trustee. If you are directed to provide the returns and don't, this could be a problem.

Generally most Trustees (again this varies district to district) will let you keep up to 10% of any increase in your income. Again 10% seems to be the norm. Anything above may be taken.

There is no uniformity in process or rules from district to district so this just depends on your district.

Go contact your lawyer and ask if your trustee wants to see your filed tax returns every year or not.

There's no reason to create a huge mess if you decide not to provide them and your trustee then dismisses your Ch 13 because you are expected to provide them. There's no reason to go there when it's so easy to find out the answer directly from your lawyer.

As already said before, there's absolutely no consistency across the country about this. Even when one state has more than one Ch 13 trustee, their individual expectations can still be different. That means anything you read here about whether to provide tax returns annually to your trustee is not reliable.

Contact your own laywer asap and get the answer that's right for you in your local court.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
