We did it! Everything went great. I just heard from my attorney and not only were we confirmed, but the judge accepted our plan, which is much better than I thought it was going to be. $660 per month for 60 months. We will actually end up some savings each month.

Our 2nd will be stripped...we will come out of this in 4 years and 9 months with one mortgage on the house, which is hopefully for less than the house is worth (not like it is today).

Pesident or President? Obama inherited 90% of the problems he's dealing with! Not to mention the republicans who refuse to compromise on the issues! Obama isn't the issue, you need to go back 8-12 years to find the source of America's problems and everyone expects them to be corrected in three years???? NOT!!!

Do you mind if I ask how you got the second mortgage stripped? I just filed and am currently carrying 3 mortgages and am going to try to get the third stripped...

If the home is worth less than the first mortgage, then the second becomes unsecured and can be stripped.

I am 36 months into my 60 month Chapter 13 and I can tell you this - 5 years is a long, long time and anything can happen. A significant number of Chapter 13 plans are never completed, most of them converting to Chapter 7 when circumstances preclude the ability to make the plan payment.
