Our Discharge Letter from the Court Came Today

Sixty five months after signing the papers for the Bankruptcy it is over. The discharge was signed on the 12th of January and arrived today. I suppose I'll get a confirmation letter from my lawyer by June.

So, finally we are free and clear to navigate. The only glitch was that the Trustee was a month behind on the mortgage which we are making up by the end of this month.

It was funny, along with the letter of discharge came two credit card applications (unsolicited) and a letter of congratulations from a local car dearler... Unbelievable.

Regardless, thanks to everyone on the board for your support. You made the hassles that went along with the associated trials and tribulations much easier to stomach. Best wishes to you all.

That is great to hear. Congrats. I'm in PA and waiting for that magic letter to come. I'm hoping it will be soon. I'm at 63 months since filing petition, so you give me hope that my time is coming soon.
