Question regarding Mortgage and Foreclosure

Ok , this may be a dumb question. I was just wondering I filed chapter 13 on dec 31,2010 and I decided to let my townhome go into foreclosure included in the bk.
Does chapter 13 prolong foreclosure? I know in Illinois it is 7 months from when you receive your foreclosure papers which I received in Oct 2010 but I was just wondering if it is going to slow down the process since I filed Chapter 13.

We are doing the same thing. Filed 12/23 and first payment I didn't make on the house was Jan 1. OUr atty didn't say i would slow or speed things up. He advised that we'd likely have 3 months minimum before anything would start. We are hoping for six. Quite a few people I know that are going foreclosure (but no BK) have been out of their homes fo 6-7 months and NOTHING has been done.
