We are making the last 2 payments this month finally!

Well we are from arizona and we will be making our last two payments on our chapter 13 before the end of this month January 2011. What a feeling to know the new year is starting with the end of a pain in the butt.
We do not know what to do once they are all made. Do we sit after that and wait to get our car title that was in the chapter 13 and a discharge or do we have to do anything else? We did the final credit course all that is left is mailing in the last two payments and that will be the next two mondays and done done done!

Thank you and yes once and for all its almost done sent a payment today then every week for the next two weeks send one and it will be over. And now we can get on with our lives and rebuild our credit to where we can hopefully buy a cheap little house or condo in arizona.

we JUST brought our house TODAY....less than 2 years out of bk!!! YES...you'd be soooooooo surprise with the people that own "rentals" that are willing to sell and do owner financing... really what do THEY have to lose???

we are closing feb 15th!

I know with my wifes scores we can get an FHA loan once we get the discharge they said she qualified my scores ar about forty or so off but it can be in her name.
Did you find an owner finance deal if so are they financing it the full term or do you have to refi after a time frame just wonder how that works.

Just curious, but are you paying back 100%? If not, can you send three payments in one month to buy out early? I thought you had to pay the full 36 or 60 months unless you are paying 100%.

My attorney said I can pay it out early now. The reason it is past 36 months the law states that you only have to allow for disposable income up to 36 months of the plan and does not require for allowing for disposable after the 36 month time frame. I am going by my attorneys advice on this one as I kept the email from her as proof if any problems arise.
