Question for my mom...

Hi everyone! I mostly lurk and post on the Ch. 7 board (me and husband just filed this week), but my mom is also going through a BK and just recently filed a 13. She isn't near as anal as I am about understanding it all, but I was concerned about something she just told me. She said her attorney told her roughly how much her repayment will be and already has her starting to make the payment (certified to a lock box for trustee?) and she hasn't even had a meeting yet. She filed about 3 weeks ago and her first meeting is January 26 and then one in March. She only has credit card debt - nothing else.

Can someone tell me if this sound right?

The first payment to the trustee is due 30 days from the date the case is filed...so this sounds right!

Yes she should be making payments. If she doesn't the court will order her to do so. We made 2 months worth of payments before we even had our 341 (meeting of creditors), so she is doing the right thing. Not to worry.
