I filed on October 26, 2010. My attorney and I were seen 1/2 hour early. The trustee was very nice--she kept the room relaxed. We were done in five minutes. Got address labels and case number labels from my attorney. She gave me a copy of the filing and told me that I will have to send her, each year for five years, a copy of my income tax returns. The only other paperwork to complete is a business questionnaire, since I am self employed. That's it. I made my first payment that was due 11/25/2010. I was very pleased with the entire process and job my attorney did. I am glad that I went to three free consultations. My best advice: Go to as many free consultations until you find an attorney with whom you are comfortable. Also, get assurances that the attorney KNOWS the trustee, and that he/she has done hundreds of filings. If anyone has questions regarding the process or attorneys, feel free to comment, and I will try to respond swiftly. I also appreciate everyone who has contributed to the forum, for the comments has offered a great deal of comfort.
