Well I guess that is good timing.
I've been lurking on this forum since April, when I realized I had run out of other options. I stopped paying my unsecured creditors then, and turned off my phone in May. Then I waited a few months to exclude a bonus from the 6-month look-back. Then I stalled for a few more months, and my attorney just filed electronically on Thursday.
The first to sue is Chase, but the process server showed up 7pm Saturday night - 2 days after I filed ch13. I don't know if/how I am supposed to respond, but I just scanned and emailed my attorney. I know they won't be able to proceed, but I'm just not sure what I am supposed to do.
Interestingly, we received an offer from Chase to settle my wife's card for 40% of what we owe just two weeks ago. We each owe right about the same amount, too. I'm wondering what the trigger was to sue for my cards, but not hers.
Also - does anyone use Yodlee or Mint.com to track expenses/budget? I just stumbled across Yodlee, and the reports seem pretty good. For both of them, I can no longer access my mortgage or car loans. I tried logging onto the sites individually - and no go. I assume they got word of the filing electronically and locked me out. Has that happened to anybody else?
My 341 is scheduled for mid-December. There's no turning back now!
