    Unclaimed Debts

    This has been an eventful ride but I'm grateful for many things at this point. I've been following my case on 13Network to see who has sent in Proof of Claims. My 2nd mortgage was stripped with no objections! Great! Well they haven't responded at all, and that was for $19000. I have about $14000 in medical bills as well and they haven't responded either...my question is, what happens to these items on my credit report? They have until December...but I was just thinking what would happened if they didn't respond at all...

    anyone know?

      If they dont file a claim at all to be paid, then those debts are considered discharged as long as you complete your plan.
      Filed: 5/22/07; 341 Hearing: 6/27/07;
      Confirmed: 8/13/07; DISCHARGED 4/17/2012

        But can they just make a claim later? IF after the cut off date, are they just SOL or can they just claim they were never notified and claim ignorance? Under what circumstances can a creditor file a claim AFTER the cut off date?
        Also what happens if a creditor does not file the claim? Does your payment to the trustee decrease or do you still play the total amount to the plan but the remaining claims get a higher share of the plan then they would have received if everyone filed a claim?
        Filed 09/08/10, $26k unsecured. Plan submitted 09/16/10, $250/mo X 36 Months = $9,000.
        First Payment: 09/28/10 341 Hearing: 10/12/10, Confirmation: 10/28/10
        2nd debtor education course taken: 02/05/13. DISCHARGE: 10/10/2013.
