Anyone have any chapter 13 experience in San Diego, CA?

I have a friend who filed a 13 thru his san diego lawyer who is nowhere to be found and non cooperational. Its a nightmare for my friend and I am trying to help him. My friend is in a 5 year payment plan 4500 a month and can no longer make the payments as he is no longer working. Long story short, he needs to file a dismissal in San Diego but his attorney will not returned his call or emails, its been two months now. The law firm that this atty works for went bankrupt as well "Pacific Law Center" but anyhow, I was able to check the san diego bk cour calendar and saw that this atty has so many hearings (chapt 13) with other clients, so my friend will be there to confront him.
Very Sad. Does anyone know if my friend can just file the request for dismissal without his attys signature. He has it all ready to go and completed. -
That is awful to hear. My atty has been very responsive to my questions, etc...I'm very happy with this atty. I'm sorry to hear about your friend. Funny, the firm you mention still advertises....I'd report the atty and firm to the Better Business Bureau and maybe the Bar. I'd also check to see what other agency you can file with.Comment
