I recently voluntarily dismissed my ch 13 case to file 7 with my wife. The ch 13 trustee received one more payment after the case was dismissed. How long does it take to have a trustee return that payment. I cant believe they can just sit on it and return it at there leisure.

Assuming that you mean that the court had already ruled that your case was dismissed when the payment went out, the best thing you can do is contact your Ch 13 lawyer and ask.
