Attorney's fees, montion to value lien?

    In response to:

"Am I being sued by my attorney?"

NO, you are not being sued. Your attorney has filed an Application to Approve Payment of Interim Legal Fees and Expenses. Read the Application which may have been encompassed in the Plan, in the Complaint for the strip down or done by separate Application. It probably says that payment will be through the Trustee. An attorney is required to have his/her fees approved by the Court. Sounds like the Court has approved the fees. If you have any questions, call the attorney.

No, you are not being sued by your attorney.

Let me guess... You had a lien strip as part of your CH13, right? Did your attorney discuss with you how much he would charge for the lien strip?

This looks as though the attorney had to get approval from the court for his fees for the lien strip. This isn't that unusual. He is simply asking the court for permission to include his fee for the work done on your lien strip as part of your plan.

(Sorry! Too slow on my reply!)

Thank you for your informative replies. After I read them, I re-read the document. I miss-interpreted as a order for payment, when it is in fact an authorization for the trustee to make the payments to the attorney.

        Thanks again
