    Who notifies "new" creditors?

I filed last week and then I got two notices in the mail that some of my accounts have been moved from the original creditor to a collection agency. So who is responsible for notifying these companies of my bk? Should I? Or am I just to tell my attorney?

The original creditor should notify, if they simply outsourced it to a CA. If they sold it, though, they might not bother. If you get calls, give them the case # and chapter that you filed.

Probably best to keep your atty advised of anything, even this, atty will know if there is an amendment needed. (If the original creditor was listed, though, probably no amendment needed.)
Get mortgage modified: DONE! 7 months of back interest payments amortized, payment reduced over $200/mo
(In the 'planning' stage, to file ch. 13 if/when we have to.)
