    On the Road

Filed June 22, the 12th hour, to prevent the sale of my house to x's little hohoho. (not a something's length transaction IYKWIM)

I sent in a first payment today. $443/mo/5years. Very little to unsecureds
    Creditor meeting Aug 3.
Pretty sure X will be complaining a LOT when his liens are avoided.
Want to buy out Xs share of house outside the plan...and just pay property taxes/trustee/lawyer in the plan.

Feeling so good since I filed...what a relief!

Congrats for filing, CB! Keep us posted about how your 341 goes. Great job getting that first payment in during the first 30 days after filing as required. One down, only 59 to go!
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

    06/01/06 - Filed Ch 13
    06/28/06 - 341 Meeting
    07/18/06 - Confirmation Hearing - not confirmed, 3 objections
10/05/06 - Hearing to resolve 2 trustee objections
01/24/07 - Judge dismisses mortgage company objection
    09/27/07 - Confirmed at last!
06/10/11 - Trustee confirms all payments made

        Thanks Irprn and Mom3!
My payment was kinda manufactured in that my 'income' is exempt.
I'm not sure if I have this right, but my attorney used $4600 that my X owes me
and $506 in a life insurance policy 'cash out' as the amount that would be 'liquidated' if I filed a 7 so that there was some money available for unsecureds.
My lawyer charged a LOT comparitively...$4k upfront and $6k in the plan, and there was about $12k worth of property taxes in arrears. So in all, the trustee will get $2k, the lawyer 6k, the property taxes paid in full at 12%, and the unsecureds (actually I only owe my X and his gang of thieves) $5,000.

I'll be taking the money for the plan and mortgage/taxes/living expenses out of my retirement funds unless I can get an extension of my short term alimony, but if I can avoid X's liens against the house in exchange for that monthly payment, and keep a roof over my head, I am a happy camper.
