overtime gone in 2 monthsv should wait to file?

Our overtime is gone to zero in a couple of months. Should we grin and bear it for 6 more months to file. Things could get backed up a little. The lawyer said it wouldn't make a difference. We made a lot in overtime march april they are closing a center so no overtime soon. We are afraid of a large payment planned out with us having overtime. We don't want to go through all of this for a big payment we can't afford. Please any advice!

Your attorney is saying that the overtime won't make a difference, is that because you have X amount you have to pay to keep non-exempt assets (or to pay arrears for a secured note, or IRS debt?)

If your payment isn't based upon what you have to pay to keep certain items, and is based more heavily upon your DMI, then I would certainly wait until that overtime is gone from the 6 month look back. Otherwise you'll be in a plan you cannot afford.
