Here's my issue. I don't have a "decent" health insurance plan, its an individual policy that is no good at all! Well I have a lump in my breast that I will eventually take out, its not pressing but its been paining me lately. Also, I'd like to have another child. I have a 5 year old daughter that I had with no insurance, which is the reason I have $20000 worth of medical bills included in my plan. What do you all suggest? Is there any other insurance that I can get that will pay for my surgery and also the birth of my child. My attorney has included $140 for medical insurance in my plan. I want another child but don't want to be stuck with $20000 more in medical bills WHILE in Chapter 13 bankruptcy....

Could you get pregnant now and then wait until after the next baby is born before filing?Filed Chapter 13 on 2-28-10. 341 completed 4/14/10. Confirmed 5/14/10. Lien strip granted 2/2/11

Is the foreclosure the only reason you're filing for ch.13? Would it be possible to pay your arrears in your ch.13 and then dismiss and file a ch.7 to discharge your medical debts (including new debts incurred from a 2nd baby)?
I'm not sure if this is even possible, maybe someone else can chime in????Filed Chapter 13 on 2-28-10. 341 completed 4/14/10. Confirmed 5/14/10. Lien strip granted 2/2/11

I will say that having a baby while in BK is very difficult. You will likely have to file a modification after the baby is born and medical expenses are going to be yours to foot. I found out I was pregnant two weeks after filing. It can be done it just makes an already difficult undertakings even more so.
Good luck.Disclaimer: Young, NOT Dumb.(._.) The plan: $480 monthly for 60 months at 100%. 07/12/08
Motion to Discharge: FILED!! 08/07/13
60 down/0 to go \m/(*.*)\m/ 100% complete!

I think Momofthree's post would be good to keep in mind, as a worst case scenario. If nothing else worked - you could dismiss and later refile. Refiling would allow you to include medical bills if you had new ones after the initial filing.
On the other hand - if you're able to find employment that would match your current income AND provide medical insurance, that would be the best case scenario. May not happen - or not be something you can count on right now. But in time, who knows???Get mortgage modified: DONE! 7 months of back interest payments amortized, payment reduced over $200/mo
(In the 'planning' stage, to file ch. 13 if/when we have to.)
