Since I was corned by my Mortgage company ,with delay tactics on my loan modification, and when they put my house on Auction block/foreclose.I had no choice but file Chapter 13. Just to stop the foreclose.
Now since I have filed chapter 13 by attorneys firm .

I know I this has ruined my Credit and who knows what other damage it will do to my life.
Now ,what services do I expect from our Attorney ,[Can Anyone please lists some or reply to me.]

And believe me I have got Tons of other questions coming .

I have just send in my first Trustee payment today.
Now what happens after Chapter 13 filing and how can I use my attorney effectively for the money I am charged.

What happens is you have to wait to get confirmed and then just make your payments on time and you will be ok.

You need to set up appointments and get on your attorneys ass if you have any questions or concerns.

My attorney is good, but he is lazy. I always have to hold him accountable.

Well I got burned the same way by my mortgage company, they kept telling me they didn't receive necessary docs BUT I know they did. Next day, I call to verify and I am in active foreclosure. I don't have a sale date but I have been through my consultation with the attorney, paid her fee and now waiting to sign out on July 22.

You can expect for your attorney to work with you in devising a decent payment plan (budget) to submit to trustee...

Attending meeting of creditors with you...

Inform you of any necessary amendments requested by trustee (if any)

I, of course is still in the first step, but this is what they told me would happen in the upcoming months. I had the same issues - thinking that this would ruin my life but after reading on this forum...there are many people that says this is the best thing they have done!
