Short term disability

Hello all, I filed and I am awaiting final confirmation scheduled for July 9th. I have a monthly of $2900. I was injured in a motorcycle accident at the beginning of May, and I will be out until October due to my injuries.

I am currently on short term getting 66 2/3% salary now. It has been a struggle making these payments due to the fact that I am losing about $2800 per month not working. Is there any thing I can do or request to get some kind of temporary break, at least until I go back to work?

You need to contact your attorney right away and advise him/her of what you stated here.

Do you think that anything can be done? I plan on calling on Tuesday. It is getting real tough for me and I do not want to fail.

Your plan could be modified for the time your income is less. You need to talk to your attorney.
