I attempted to pay mortgage payment online today but was informed due to my loan status I would have to call a toll free number. Filed chapter 13 last month with 2 mo behind which are in the plan. What could they possibly want other than a current payment?

Many mortgage companies shut down your ability to pay online when you file BK. You need to call that number to get a payment address.LadyInTheRed is in the black!

Payments are probably handled by a different department while in bankruptcy - since you're paying arrears in the plan & current payment directly. Call to find out where and you should be able to send a manual payment or pay using your bank's online bill pay. (Need to know the acct # and address for that, of course.)Get mortgage modified: DONE! 7 months of back interest payments amortized, payment reduced over $200/mo
